The Deacons Court Annual Burns Supper for 2022 has been postponed due to the ongoing COVID19 pandemic.
We are disappointed that we have not been able to host our annual Burns Supper and celebrate the National Bard, Robert Burns. However we look forward to 2023, when we can celebrate with an evening full of poetry, singing, toasts and not forgetting, haggis!
For now, we leave you with what Burns wrote about our Royal Burgh:
"Linlithgow - the appearance of rude, decayed idle grandeur — charmingly rural, retired situation — the old rough royal palace a tolerably fine, but melancholy ruin — sweetly situated on a small elevation on the brink of a Loch —"
Robert Burns, 25th August 1787.
